The DN300 battery has the same dimensions and mounting method as its predecessor model. The SD300 connections for the latest generation of Shimano E-Tube cables are new. The battery uses this to supply power to the front and rear derailleurs of the Dura-Ache 9200 and Ultegra 8100 shifting groups. In addition to the two connections for the front and rear derailleur, a third connection can be used for completely wired operation of the new Di2 groupset.
The battery, which consists of two high-quality lithium-ion cells, is charged via a charging port integrated into the rear derailleur. Its cells offer a high capacity and last for around 2000 km with numerous switching operations. The lithium-ion technology allows the battery to be used in a wide temperature range from -20 to 60°C and can therefore be used in any season.
