Integrated battery of the latest generation, which is recessed into the seat post or the fork shaft. The internally routed cable gives the racing bike a tidy look. Integrating the battery into the frame also reduces the number of attachments that are exposed to the wind. To charge the battery, it can remain in the bike.

For the top groups Dura Ace Di2, XTR Di2 and the upper middle class Ultegra Di2 and XT Di2, Shimano only uses the best battery technology! The battery therefore consists of two high-quality lithium-ion cells. These cells offer high capacity and last for around 2000 km with numerous switching operations. The lithium-ion technology allows the battery to be used in a wide temperature range from -20 to 60°C and can therefore be used in any season.

SHIMANO E-TUBE PROJECT
Is an application that allows you to update your bikes firmware and change the Di2 settings when your bike is connected to a PC or iPad.
Bluetooth technology allows drivers and mechanics to communicate wirelessly with the Di2 system by connecting the wireless unit in the SC-MT800 or EW-WU101 to a tablet or smartphone. The only requirement is that the internal battery BT-DN110 / BT-DN110-A or the holder BM-DN100 for the external battery is installed. This benefits both the mechanic who wants to make extensive adjustments in the workshop or carry out error analysis, and the mountain biker himself who wants to change certain settings on the trail using his smartphone.
